NymConnect provides a seamless, one-click interface for connecting to the Nym mixnet, with the primary objective of enhancing the confidentiality of your interactions with applications and websites. It offers robust protection by safeguarding your traffic from potential observers, including the very application or site you are using.
When you connect through NymConnect, your communications undergo a multi-layered encryption process before being transmitted through a gateway and the Nym mixnet. The mixnet employs a clever technique of blending your traffic with cover traffic and introducing micro delays. This ingenious approach effectively thwarts any attempts by observers to trace or analyze your communications, ensuring the privacy and security of your data. Furthermore, it shields your IP address from being exposed.
With NymConnect, you can enjoy a heightened level of confidentiality while accessing websites and applications, empowering you to maintain control over your online privacy.
In today’s app, you can discover how to access and view Meduza while preserving your privacy. Please note that this application only works on PC.
What is Meduza ?
Meduza was founded in October 2014 by Galina Timchenko, former editor-in-chief of Lenta.ru (2004–2014), a highly trusted news source and one of the most cited journalistic resources on the internet in Russia. Timchenko was sacked in March 2014 after Lenta.ru was warned by the media watchdog for “disseminating extremist material” after publishing an interview with an activist from the Ukrainian radical group Pravy Sektor After her departure, the entire team left the previous project and reformed in Riga under the name Meduza.

Meduza.io has made a name for itself through its commitment to investigative journalism. The medium covers a variety of subjects, including politics, society, economics, culture and international affairs. Its journalists attach the utmost importance to scrupulous verification of the information provided and to the informed use of sources that can legitimately be considered reliable. Its editorial line is opposed to Vladimir Putin’s policies.
Throughout its existence, Meduza has faced challenges related to government censorship and access restrictions in certain regions. In April 2021, Meduza was declared a “foreign agent” and had to mention this fact in all its publications. This measure also led to the departure of many private advertisers. Since then, Meduza has relied on participatory financing to continue its adventure. In January 2023, Meduza was designated an “undesirable organisation” by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office on Thursday 26 January. In a brief statement, the site was accused of threatening Russia’s “constitutional order and security”. Contributors, as well as anyone who has cooperated with the media in any way, are liable to criminal penalties. It is also forbidden to distribute or share its content, on pain of a fine. This announcement is forcing Russians to clean up their social networks as a matter of urgency.
Despite these obstacles, Meduza remains resolutely committed to preserving freedom of expression and providing a reliable source of information.
